Columbia

Columbia is best known for having the least amount of regulations on corporations, so it should come as no surprise that most mega corporations have their roots in this nation.

Geography & Climate

The geography in Columbia varies across the nation. Columbia has lots of open grassy farmland down south, with more barren land up north.

The climate in Columbia is mild. Northern parts of Columbia have chilly temperatures, where the south has much warmer conditions with the far south receiving a lot of yearly rain.

Government

Constitutional Federal Republic

Columbia is a Constitutional Federal Republic. Power is split up between the central government of Columbia and it’s individual states.

Eos City

90% of the population lives in Eos City, a dense urban environment that sprawls across the entire island. Eos City is not technically a nation nor is it officially recognized as one by the Five Nations of Eos.

Geography & Climate

Eos City’s geography has been altered so much that it can no longer be considered natural. It’s hard to find any dirt in Eos City that isn’t contained inside a cement block. Most of the natural trees have been chopped down, the ground covered in pavement and concrete, even the hills have been completely flattened out (barring those used for luxury housing).

The climate in Eos City is rainy. Most of the year is spent in perpetual rainstorms. While the rain does help keep the temperatures cool, it also means more challenges for those who choose to live in the city.

Government

Corporatocracy

Eos City has no central government as it is still technically a part of Oasis. However, Eos City is mostly dominated by the large corporations.

Imperium

Much of the nation is barren and inhabitable, the freezing conditions making it impossible for any native life to form and create an extremely harsh living environment. Originally started off as a nation for rich merchants to safely store their non-perishable investments at, Imperium quickly became an attractive location for criminals and other deviants. Uniting together as one, Imperium became a militaristic nation where everyone was “equal”. Equality here meant you were either a military leader living a luxurious life, or struggling to survive the rough conditions with the others.

Geography & Climate

The geography in

The climate in is very cold with snowfall in every part of the nation. Blizzards are frequent occurrences making life in Imperium even more difficult. The temperatures are so cold in the north that merely walking to your vehicle can be a death sentence.

Government

Communist State

Imperium is a communist state, with a strong military presence.

Oasis

Outside of Eos City, the majority of the remaining world population resides in Oasis, which stretches from sea to sea across the southern border of Imperium, the eastern border of Kowloon and the western border of Columbia.

Oasis contains most major biomes, from the icy cold yet bearable conditions in the north to the tropical rain forest conditions in the south, as well as the largest desert on the planet.

While Eos City is technically a part of the nation of Oasis, it’s exceeding large population and segregated landmass lead most people to believe that Eos City is its own entity. Additionally, Eos City has its own political system and falls under strict regulation by the FNE government.

Tropikos Republic

It’s not hard to find banners touting that the Tropikos Republic is the “free-est nation in Eos”, although the nation is considered to be a dictatorship. Welcome to the land of double standards, where what you think is right is wrong and what is wrong is debatable.

Star System Overview

Star Specs:

  • Class: B (Blue Giant)
  • Age: 18 million years
  • Mass: 10 Solar masses

Nephila

Nephila is a class B blue giant star with 9 orbiting planets. The star is roughly 10 times the size of Sol, causing the systems habitable zone to lay much further away from the star than our own.

Kronos

Kronos is a rather dark planet, easily missed by most of the early astronomers. It’s surface is a dark black due to it being a carbon planet.

Planet Specs:

  • Type: Carbon Planet
  • Mass: 7.8M⊕
  • Radius: 2⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 3G
  • Average Temperature: 2,000°F – 4,400°F
  • Rotational Period: 18 hours
  • Orbital Period: 18 hours
Planet Specs:

  • Type: Hot Ice Planet
  • Mass: 17M⊕
  • Radius: 5⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 1.1G
  • Average Temperature: 822°F
  • Rotational Period: 16 hours
  • Orbital Period: 2.5 Days

Koios

Koios may seem like a strange combination. It’s an ice giant that is roughly 800°F, well above the boiling point of water.

This leads to odd comet-like tail to protrude from the planet, taking an odd reddish color from the high concentration of iron oxide in it’s core.

Oceanus

Oceanus is a water planet. It’s close to distance to the sun prohibits any living visitors, but nobody knows what could be living in it’s depths. Robots have been sent into the planet’s waters to search for signs of life, to no success. Yet.

Planet Specs:

  • Type: Water Planet
  • Mass: 6.5M⊕
  • Radius: 2.7R⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 0.9G
  • Average Temperature: 250°F – 500°F
  • Rotational Period: 10 hours
  • Orbital Period: 1.5 Days
Planet Specs:

  • Type: Barren Planet
  • Mass: .1M⊕
  • Radius: .5R⊕
  • Surface Gravity: .4G
  • Average Temperature: 68°F – 175°F
  • Rotational Period: 1 day, 4 hours
  • Orbital Period: 750 days

Japetus

Japetus is a barren planet with the closest possible living conditions as Eos, although the surface is far too hot to contain life and the air is unbreathable. It’s just enough for military groups and outlaws to setup small planetside camps, assuming they bring the proper equipment.

Krios

Krios is a very large gas giant with an unusual retrograde orbit.

Planet Specs:

  • Type: Gas Giant
  • Mass: 150M⊕
  • Radius: 20R⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 1.8G
  • Average Temperature: -200°F
  • Rotational Period: 8 hours
  • Orbital Period: 10 years
Planet Specs:

  • Type: Ringed Gas Giant
  • Mass: 98M⊕
  • Radius: 9R⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 1.2G
  • Average Temperature: -280°F – -375°F
  • Rotational Period: 12 hours
  • Orbital Period: 7 years
Planet Specs:

  • Type: Habitable Moon
  • Mass: M⊕
  • Radius: R⊕
  • Surface Gravity: 1G
  • Average Temperature:
  • Rotational Period: 7 days
  • Orbital Period (host planet): 7 days

Hyperion

Hyperion is a ringed gas giant

Eos

Eos orbits around Hyperion once every 168 hours.

Atlas

Atlas is a gas giant

Planet Specs:

  • Type: Gas Giant
  • Mass:
  • Radius:
